So I ordered a Patagonia sweatshirt and cap (don't tell Jen, she thinks I've got too many caps as it is) last week from one of my outlet Web sites. Heck of a deal on them at 75 percent off.
I got the confirmation e-mail with a link to the UPS package tracking Web page. So each day I've logged on to see where my shipment is located. Monday, it was in Reno. Then it was shipped to Mesquite (home of the mighty Skeeters, says Sean Brown). From there it went to Little Rock, before arriving in Fort Smith at 4:08 a.m. this morning. Then it left the local UPS warehouse at 6:53 a.m. ... and I still don't have my stuff.
I'm usually pretty patient. But come on, bring me my stuff. It's been nearly five hours since the truck left the depot. Aargh!
I'd have been better off not logging onto that site at all.
Update: Hooray, UPS finally arrived a little before 5 p.m. I'm now wearing my rocking new sweatshirt and will be sporting the cap soon.

Don't give the boys in Brown a hard time...not only is a regional hub based in my hometown...but we share a mantra...What can Brown do for you? and in this case the answer is simple...Tell you to chilld the FUCK out!?!?!?! Sometimes I make myself smile...and this is one of those cases.
REI got me my stuff in 2 days. Ordered from Amazon on the same day, took more than week.
And Brownie, it'd be nice if you returned a phone call once in a while.
Good Grief on Brown. Return the man's call.
Scott, if you buy yourself one more thing before March 13, I swear you will get zero birthday gifts. Zero. ZERO.
I will convince your parents to also give you NOTHING.
Hey, the rule is no major purchases within one (1) month of a birthday.
A. I don't consider a sweatshirt and hat to be major purchases.
B. We are more than one month from my birthday. Do I need to post the countdown clock again?
I am making a new rule:
for milestone birthdays, no unnecessary purchases for yourself for the SIX WEEKS prior to the birthday.
That means your buying days are OVER, Faldon!
Don't you guys live in the same house...why do you have to have the little squabbles on this message board...Jen...tell him to his face or hold out on "the goods"
that will keep him from buying things!
