Got a check from Farm Bureau for the damage to the Jeep.
Luckily, I think the whole thing can be repaired for less than $1,500 (especially with Nash and I doing some of the work). Cha-ching!
Adjuster woke us up this morning at 8:30 a.m. He said we'll need a new roof. Now we'll just have to get in line with a contractor. Hopefully they'll get to us before the end of May.

Satellite radio rocks
Yeah, I'm behind the times. What do you expect out of somebody who didn't get a CD player until 1999?
The Jeep is in the shop, thanks to a problem with the clutch. There was a recall on it, but I never got the info about it. So yesterday afternoon, the recalled part broke.
As a reward, Dad hooked me up with a 2007 Dodge Durango to drive while it's being fixed. And it's got built-in Sirius Satellite Radio, which means I don't have to listen to the doofuses on the local sports radio shows nor the two classic rock stations playing the exact same songs.
I've been glued to channel 17 "Jam On" where I've listened to the Grateful Dead, DMB, Allman Brothers, moe, String Cheese Incident, Rusted Root, Phish and all those other hippie bands I like. I've also flipped over to channel 31 "Margaritaville" where they play Jimmy Buffett 24/7. All-Elvis is channel 13 and all-Sinatra is channel 75. And, for what it's worth, there are two Howard Stern channels. I listened to one yesterday for about five minutes. I still don't see how this guy is so popular.
Anyway, the Jeep might be ready Thursday. Depends on whether or not the parts warehouse in Memphis was damaged by Tuesday's storms.
